School Council

Our School Council is an ideal opportunity for pupils to get more involved in the way the school is run. It is made up of representatives from each class or year, and have been voted in by other pupils. There are many roles from within the School Council. Our representatives will have the opportunity to become the Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson, Secretary or Treasurer.

It is the responsibility of each councillor to ensure that they express both their own views and the views of all the other pupils they represent.

The school council provides an active learning experience that will be supported by lessons in P.S.H.E. and other national curriculum subjects that explore the idea of what being a good citizen means.

The School Council will give pupils the opportunity to develop skills such as confidence, communication and negotiation skills and responsibilities they will need as they move into adulthood.
